The rebounders for fitness only are the bungee rebounders. Note that these will not allow for the Health Bounce or for rebounding for lymphatic drainage. These do not give the flushing that the single purpose rebounders give to the lymphatic system. These allow the entire body to come off the mat way over 2 inches and these rebounders have deep decelerations and very high amplitudes. In order to get the amplitude most people have to land on their heels from at least a foot off the mat and I do not recommend the fitness only rebounders for those with bad joints, especially bad knees.
Many people choose a multi purpose rebounder that gives a decent lymphatic workout and also enough bounce but not as much as a bungee rebounder. The Cellerciser and Needak are my two top recommendations. The Cellerciser has a firmer bounce and I lean toward that if doing the Health Bounce with working out second and I recommend the Needak Rebounder with exercise first in mind and the Health Bounce second. The Cellerciser springs should never need to be changed due to the triple tiering strength levels and high carbon spring. Since the Needak rebounder has a softer bounce and a more yielding spring, it gives more air time. It is easier to get more bounces per minute when the springs don’t yield as much letting the mat decelerate further to the ground. I believe the health bounces should be incorporated in every rebounding workout. Moving the fat soluble toxins from the fat is just as burning calories. I like the single purpose rebounders because when I am in a hurry and don’t have time do get my 10,000 steps a day, the single purpose rebounder gives me the 180 bounces per minute to get it done quicker with less air time.
