So many people call in asking which rebounder is better for someone with a bad back. To make this simple, any rebounder that allows a foot shuffle without leaving the mat over 2 inches would be the one I would use if I had a bad back. Rebounding for most people with a bad back should not be done high outside the mat. Many people look for companies that claim their springs are soft bouncing and I do not agree with this. I want a rebounder that doesn’t give a soft bounce but very little bounce at all. The single purpose rebounders, such as the Lymphaciser and the Health Circulator have a very low bounce and keep people close enough that they don’t even make a balance bar. Those with bad backs also may want to be concerned with uneven bouncing and inversion of the ankles. This can make someone with an already compromised back feel even more pain. I would avoid these rebounders all together. These are more for people that don’t have back problems.
My first pick for a rebounder for someone with a bad back would be the Health Circulator first or Cellerciser if someone is looking for a multi purpose rebounder.
